If you thought New York Fashion Week could never get any better, it just did. This NYFW, Afterpay is launching an exclusive DROPSHOP in-person shopping experience at Times Square on the 7th and 8th of this month.
If You are new to Afterpay, it is an online payment platform that allows fashion consumers to buy their favorite brands and pay later over six weeks without worrying about interest. The Afterpay DROPSHOP experience offers fashion consumers an exclusive opportunity to buy limited edition product drops from their favorite brands.
This NYFW, platform is launching an immersive two-day experience with Snap’s AR technology that will allow you to try on items and experience them in a virtual setting.
Brands joining Afterpay for this experience include JD Sports, Crocs, and Glassface. Bretman Rock joins with his own exclusive collection with Crocs. Expect two-limited edition drops designed with the creative vision of young digital creators.
Bretman “Da Baddest” Rock plans on releasing Jibbitz charms as a limited pre-release offer. The five-pack collaboration with Crocs is inspired by reflective material, stars, and crystals.
For the exclusive experience, JD Sports has partnered with Josh Goldenberg aka Glassface, a digital media artist to create one-of-a-kind digital art NFTs called “Enter New Worlds” for an enlightening virtual experience.
The DROPSHOP is kinda like a real-life fantasy land where you will step inside a fully immersive drop world. Once in, you can activate your Snapchat AR and begin your try-on experiences. If you like what you see, you can buy directly from your phone.

If this isn’t enough to get you excited for this year’s NYFW, Afterpay and Snap plan to immerse monumental New York objects in Afterpay’s Bondi Mint. Each object will have its own unique Snapcode to unlock AR 3D maps in Snapchat to reveal the DROPSHOP location and exclusive items.
