Who needs to buy different patterns of similarly shaped garments when you can switch its prints by using AR technology? Plus, moving elements are far more attention grabbing than regular images. Orsolya Szabo and Natasha Smith’s unisex streetwear brand Virtual Super Land has created Instagram filters that you can alter your plain hoodie with some trippy moving patterns. 1 plain clothing article = infinite designs = a possible sustainable solution for those who work/study from home and need to change their clothing visuals on a daily basis. The best ways to support fashion sustainability is to up-cycle existing clothes and or just don’t purchase any and change your outfit virtually. Now that we work in home office, it’s no longer necessary to dress up. If you have zoom meetings everyday, this might be a good option to look different and a fun conversation starter.
The same effects are used in the collaboration with physical items such as Casefy. Check out their AR filters and IRL streetwear on Instagram and website!
