Eco-Friendly Packaging Solutions: Hinojosa Packaging Group Launches New Sustainable Line

Hinojosa Packaging Group, a leading sustainable packaging solutions provider, has launched Foodservice. A new line of 100% recyclable and environmentally neutral packaging for prepared foods and beverages.

The Problem with Plastic Packaging

Plastic contamination is a significant environmental issue, and Hinojosa’s new line aims to address this problem by offering sustainable packaging solutions for the food industry. According to Plastics Europe, over 368 million tons of plastic are produced each year for packaging, and the use of plastic to package prepared foods increased by more than 33% in 2021. This increase in plastic usage has resulted in an urgent need for sustainable packaging solutions.

Hinojosa’s Solution: Foodservice Line

Hinojosa’s Foodservice line is a pioneering primary packaging range for prepared foods and beverages, which is both 100% recyclable and environmentally neutral at the end of their life cycle. The company just opened their first plant completely dedicated to manufacturing paper-based primary packaging for the foodservice sector, producing and distributing prepared or ready-to-process food and beverages to food industries, vending, supermarkets, and the HORECA channel (hotels, restaurants and catering).

Three Different Ranges of Eco-Friendly Packaging

The new models are classified into three ranges: Beverage, Dairy, and FoodContainer.

  • Beverage Range: Designed for hot and cold beverages.
  • Dairy Range: Designed for dairy products such as yoghurts and ice cream.
  • FoodContainer Range: Designed for 4th and 5th range prepared foods, making them an ideal choice for delivery services for restaurants and quick-service chains (QSR).
